Taliah Muhammad

Number of Years Involve with NSBE:
2 Years

Area(s) of Concentration:
Nursing

About Me:
I am a junior in the School of Nursing, planning on becoming a neonatal nurse in the near future. Making a difference in the lives of those who are in need is something that is important and self-satisfying to me. In my spare time, I like to engage in activities that include art or music.

Recent Experience(s):
This past year, I served as the Public Relations Chairperson.

List at least one major aspect you like about NSBE:
I enjoy the effort and the initiative that NSBE takes to show its members how to develop professional skills that are needed in order to excel in the work force. I also like how NSBE exposes members to various resources available, which help to better the academic experience of its members.

What do you like best about of your current office position?
My positions include Publications and Public Relations Chairperson. My job is to help promote and publicize the different social events that NSBE holds. One thing that is unique about my positions is that I am able to help spread the word about NSBE and help familiarize people with this organization and the wonderful things we accomplish.

What message would you like to give new and existing members?
One piece of advise I have for new and existing members is to make sure you really get involved with NSBE. It is not enough to only come to the general body meetings and think that is what it means to be a NSBE member. NO! You must go beyond that. There are many events and opportunities available through this organization and it is important that you take advantage of them…how else would you be able to live the mission?
